Coalition Safe House - Sleeping Quarters - 18:00 A.M - Main Earth - 2082

Neo looked up at the ceiling as rain dripped from a nearby window. He tried to sleep, but the only thing on his mind was a black slow-motion emptiness of nothing as if his Bullet Time were repeated on a loop inside his brain. He sighed and turned toward the window where the sound of the rain was clearer, albeit not too deafening. Around him was a small nightstand where his black sunglasses stood to catch up dust if he even bothered to clean them over the night. To the right was a door ajar where his black trenchcoat was swung over at the doorknob.

Drip, drip, drip.

The rain outside began to fade away slowly, as he wondered if he would even get any sleep for the night, due to himself talking to Trinity where he stayed up too late - almost too late. Neo began to slowly close his eyes, praying for just a good night's sleep where he would count sheep, this time real sheep in his dreams.

"Neo, are you awake?"

An emotionless, flat, and machine-like male voice spoke out in the room. Neo darted his body upright and glanced at the sound of the voice. Beside him was a 6'2 feet high figure who leaned in front of the window, where a red light from the figure's black sunglasses appeared for a split second. Neo glanced at the figure, as he was clearly annoyed that he couldn't get one night's sleep.

"Seriously T-800, I said to you that you shouldn't activate your sleep mode, as I want to sleep," Neo replied. After a few seconds, the Terminator spoke up in a nonchalant manner, as he didn't understand the concept of 'sleep' and why his partner and close ally would be annoyed after a polite question.

"It was an accident. You can not sleep because what happened between you and Xavier?" The Terminator replied stoically as if he couldn't grasp on what was on Neo's mind. He wasn't built to be a fortune teller but rather a machine soldier for war and the protection of Neo. After a few minutes of pure silence, the Terminator walked towards a shelf nearby, as he slowly began to take down the things that would spark curiosity in his CPU.

Neo turned his head towards the shelf where the Terminator was still in full swing to touch old books, that he apparently opened even so often, and closed with an almost silent - thud.

"What the hell are you doing?" Neo asked as he began to get out of his bed. He stood up while he nudged his eyes, in an attempt to win the Terminator's trust by just letting him get sleep, even though he knew that wouldn't work. The Terminator continued to look inside the shelf, while his movement became almost determined as if he dug up a treasure in a neighbor's backyard.
