This is the sequel for In Too Deep. 20-year-old Wave Reven protects 17-year-old Icianna Fullen from her enemies (ones who hate her, not who she hates). Will Wave be able to save her? Moderate for attempted murder, violence, and one death.
Preface[]
We end up driving for our lives as Firestorm tries to kill us! His new 'friend' also chases us. Me and Icianna end up on another deserted island for escape. Icianna had been crying because she's traumatized. The poor girl.
Chapter One- Finally, We're Safe![]
Great, now what? There's no way we can make a shelter! I watch as Icianna shivers, 'cause it's snowing. A car comes out of the brush, and says to Icianna, "You cold? I've got a shelter for ya folks!" He takes us into the brush, and Icianna cries, "Ouch!" as a leaf hits her left eye. I cringe for her. So does our guide. "That's happened with me a thousand times, my young one. I'm used to it by now." I say, "How long have you been on this island?" He answers, "'Bout 10 years." I say, "10 years!?" He says, "Yes, I visited this island when I was 35." Icianna laughs and says, "You're old!" His nice persona quickly shifts to that of a impulsive person. He says, "Watch your words, lil' missy." He pulls out a pistol! I say, "Woah, woah, no need for violence!" Icianna whimpers, "I thought you were nice..." I say, "Umm, someone just tried to kill us, and you're threatening an already traumatized teenager! With a gun." He puts the gun away and mutters something under his breath. I don't want to know what. He takes Icianna roughly and throws her into the brush! "There," he says, rubbing his tires together like humans do when they take care of something- or someone. I hear her scream, and the car smirks.
Chapter Two- Snakebite[]
I quickly drive into the brush, and a snake had bitten Icianna! She's unconscious. I realize in horror that the snake is poisonous! I drag her out, and kill the snake so it doesn't bite me- or Icianna. Again. Its venomous fangs are sunk into her chassis, and I yell, "She was bitten by a venomous snake! And it's your fault!" He says callously, "Just leave her there." I take a giant leaf off its vine and put her on it. I drag the leaf so she doesn't get left there. I ask the 45-year-old what the remedies for a snakebite is. All he says is, "Don't abuse nature," looking at the leaf I tore down. She doesn't regain consciousness for another five hours. The snake poison is affecting her greatly. She whispers weakly, "What happened?" I say, "You were thrown into the brush, and bitten by a poisonous snake." She looks down, and whispered, "Thrown by who?" I point at Mr. I-Love-Nature-Too-Much. She attempts to get up, but falls back down. I say, "No, stay down." I drag the leaf-bed into a small makeshift cabin so she isn't affected by exposure. The older car says, "You have to ask for permission." I look at Icianna sadly, who's sleeping. "...And I say no. She can die of that snakebite!" He watches coldly as he forces me to drag the weak teenager out by aiming the gun at a sleeping Icianna!
Chapter Three- Sleeplessness[]
I can't sleep with Icianna at risk. She's too vulnerable! I hear a snake hissing toward my door. I open it, and the snake is headed toward Icianna! I wake her up, and she gets inside! "Phew," I say. I hear it hissing at me and my young friend. The car breaks in, and says, "How dare you! You should've let Snakey get your little friend!" The last sentence is on the menacing side. He aggressively throws me out of the cabin! I feel fangs sink into my side! All I remember is a female yelling, "Noo!"
20 hours later[]
I wake up in extreme pain. I blink twice and see Icianna. She is crying. "I shouldn't have let you..." she weeps. I whisper, "You would've been... killed." Icianna weeps, "You could've died!" The car says, "Well, next time, Wave will die!" Icianna says shakily, "Next time?" I whisper, "No... don't kill... me!" Then I get tired and go to sleep.
Epilogue- Icianna's Turn in the Spotlight[]
Two days after Wave's last entry, I take over. He doesn't seem to want to write anymore. Then, I hear Vine saying, "Snakey, when I say 'Icianna!', get your friend to kill that Wave car." Snakey hisses what I think is a "Okay." Vine looks at my friend's (auto) body and snickers evilly. I think about what Vine said. Why'd he say he'd yell my name? I'm confused. But one thing: I must warn Wave! I can't let him die! I rush to where Wave is sleeping, and try to wake him up, but I hear my name. Noo!! It's too late! Snakey slivers out with a smaller snake. The small snake bites Wave, to my dread. His eyes widen as he wakes up briefly, but they close again. I wait for him to wake up, but Wave's eyes don't open. I feel extremely sad because I know Wave will die. Well, next time, Wave will die! Vine was right. Tragically right.
A day later[]
Wave dies, to my great sadness. Vine says to me, "Did his death come as a surprise to you, young one?" I say tearfully, "No. I heard your murder plan." I look at Wave. "How could you kill him? He was innocent!" Vine's sly look changes to a angry look. "Then I'll kill you!" I rush to the water and swim until I reach an island.
Authors' Notes[]
Hey, world! Did you expect Wave to die? I doubt you did! This whole story is a twist, I think. Anyways, write a comment about how you liked this Surviving tale! I decided to make Wave die because it would definitely surprise you guys. Also, I'm sure all the males in this series so far are vengeful, besides Wave, the teenage boat and the Coast officer in In Too Deep. I was originally gonna make Vine a friend, but he was clearly triggered by being called 'old' by an oblivious Icianna. How did a mean comment trigger nearly all of their problems and cause Wave's death!? Don't worry, I'll give Icianna a new friend. I won't keep her "...lonely and friendless!" Abandoned Island- 3rd of the series, Surviving.
